Bus Crash in Bolivia Leaves 20 Dead

LA PAZ – Twenty people were killed and 28 others injured on Wednesday when a bus plunged into a ravine in central Bolivia, Radio Erbol said.

Citing police reports, Erbol said the bus collided with a van before running off the road and falling 70 meters (229 feet) to the ground while traveling from Cochabamba to La Paz.

The accident occurred about 92 kilometers (57 miles) from Cochabamba.

The injured were taken to hospitals in the nearby towns of Vinto and Quillacollo, while the bodies of the dead will be transported to the coroner’s office in Cochabamba. EFE
