BRUSSELS Bolivian President Evo Morales played a pick-up soccer game against a team of Bolivian nationals residing in Brussels on Tuesday, after landing in the European capital to attend the summit of the EU and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States, or CELAC.
Morales wore a shirt with the colors of the Bolivian flag, leading his team of security personnel accompanying him on his European trip.
Hailed by dozens of spectators, Morales scored at least three goals during the game.
Before the game, the president greeted and took pictures with Bolivian citizens.
We never had a president so close, always giving for his people, Richard Estrado, a 44-year-old Bolivian living in Brussels, told Efe.
