Madonna Celebrated Her 58 Birthday Strolling Down Old Havana Streets

HAVANA, Cuba - US singer Madonna celebrated her 58th birthday strolling down the picturesque streets of Old Havana in Cuba.

The star managed to dodge the press as she strolled down Havana's historic streets, although due to a large group of friends and security guards accompanying her, she did not go unnoticed.

Madonna has been on a private visit to Cuba since Monday afternoon, accompanied by a group of relatives and friends including her daughter Lourdes Leon, photographer Steven Klein and dancer and model Loic Mabanza.

The singer, who is staying at the historic and luxury hotel Saratoga, began her birthday celebrations with a dinner at a central restaurant.

The party continued late into the night with music and Madonna dancing on a table, as seen in recent photos and videos circulating on social media.

Madonna has family ties linking her to the Caribbean island, as her daughter's father is Cuban choreographer and actor Carlos Leon.

As the singer is on a private visit, her schedule is unknown, although local media are speculating that she will pay a visit to trendy spots popular with celebrities visiting the island, such as the fashionable La Guarida restaurant and Cuban Art Factory.

Since the US began normalizing relations with Cuba in December 2014, the Caribbean island has become a popular destination for numerous celebrities and has been the scene of events which would have been inconceivable decades ago, such as the Rolling Stones concert in March or the Chanel runway show in May.
