LIMA – Seven people were killed and 20 others injured Thursday when a bus collided with two cargo trucks in southern Peru, police said.
The accident took place in the wee hours on the highway linking the Peruvian coastal city of Ilo with Desaguadero in neighboring Bolivia.
The fatalities included the drivers of the bus and one of the trucks, a 2-year-old boy and a Bolivian woman, police told media outlets.
Authorities took the injured to hospitals in Desaguadero and in the Peruvian towns of Puno and Juli. EFE
