SAN JUAN – Josue Pagan Fernandez, one of the 10 most-wanted fugitives from justice in Puerto Rico, was arrested on the south side of the island for drug trafficking, local police reported Monday in a statement.
Pagan Fernandez, 29, was seized Sunday by agents of the U.S. Marshals Service and Puerto Rican police of Area de Ponce, a southern municipality of the Caribbean commonwealth
An arrest warrant had been issued against Pagan Fernandez, known as “J,” for breaking Puerto Rico’s Controlled Substances Act.
The arrest took place on Highway 501 in the La Loma district of the Guaraguao neighborhood, thanks to a confidential tip to police.
Arrested along with Pagan Fernandez were two individuals identified as Michael Figueroa Santiago, 29, and Pedro Juan Duent Medina, 35.
Seized from the criminals at the time of their arrest were guns, ammunition, money and drugs.
