Dominica PM to Visit 4 Countries to Promote Citizenship Program

SAN JUAN – Dominica Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit is leading a delegation to four countries to promote the island’s citizenship-by-investment program to raise funds to rebuild after Tropical Storm Erika, which killed 31 people on the island.

Skerrit is currently in London to promote Dominica as an “ideal place to invest,” the government said Friday in a statement.

From Britain the delegation will travel to Hong Kong, Thailand and Vietnam, according to the statement.

In the wake of Erika, Skerrit said that he would vigorously market Dominica’s Citizenship By Investment Program to raise much-needed funds for rebuilding and reconstruction.

Tropical Storm Erika left more than 370 homes destroyed or badly damaged and caused upwards of $480 million in damage.
