PARIS – Prince Albert II of Monaco and Princess Charlene are celebrating on Thursday the first birthday of their twins, Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, officials from the Palace of Monaco told EFE.
Jacques and Gabriella made a public appearance on Nov. 19 during the celebrations of the National Day of Monaco, and they appeared 10 days later on a symbolic march against climate change.
During the first 12 months of the twins’ life, their parents did not bring them to official events; however, they used to reveal details about their personalities in media interviews.
In an interview with Paris Match last month, Prince Albert said that he speaks with his children in French, while their mother speaks English to them.
The royal couple married in July 2011 and the twins are their first children, with Jacques being first in line for the tiny principality’s throne.
Albert has two other children born out of wedlock, but they have no succession rights.
