MIAMI – The Museum of Ice Cream is opening this week in Miami Beach, giving tourists and residents an opportunity to enjoy different ways of looking at the frozen treat, organizers said.
“Ice cream unites people around the world. Ice cream is about families, children, older people, couples on a date, millennials. It’s more than just a treat,” Manish Vora, one of the museum’s founders, told EFE.
The museum, which will open on Wednesday, gives visitors an opportunity to view installations that show ice cream in all its glory.
The Museum of Ice Cream’s four-story location in Miami Beach’s Faena District envelops visitors in pink as they tour rooms decorated in an ice cream motif and sample frozen treats.
The museum “combines everything you ever dreamed about (ice cream) as a kid,” Vora said.
Organizers of the museum, which also has locations in New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles, said the Miami Beach outpost would close in mid-January.
