NEW YORK – New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady may be nearing retirement, but he still earns more royalties than any other NFL player.
Brady earned $2.35 million in royalties from the NFL Players Association (NFLPA) last season, according to Daniel Kaplan of The Athletic.
The figure, included in the NFLPA’s annual report filed under the Department of Labor, outlines the earnings of each player in the league.
Most of the earnings mentioned in that report came from the sale of jerseys from a sportswear brand, video games and trading cards.
Brady also earned revenue from deals with other companies, some of which are not included in that figure.
Despite topping the list, the Patriots quarterback saw a decline in his income from the $2.5 million he earned last year.
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott remained in second place with $2 million, while former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown was third with $1.5 million.
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz earned $1.3 million and his former teammate Nick Foles made $1.2 million.
