Aldridge, DeRozan Lead Spurs to 121-114 Win over Bucks

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – LaMarcus Aldridge and DeMar DeRozan scored a total of 57 points to help the San Antonio Spurs erase a 15-point deficit and beat the Milwaukee Bucks 121-114 at AT&T Center on Sunday.

Aldridge won the individual duel with Bucks star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo and put up a double-double of 29 points, 15 rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks that proved decisive.

DeRozan had 28 points and six assists that also became the winning factor for the Spurs (38-29), who won their fifth straight game.

Reserves, point guard Patty Mills and guard Marco Belinelli, also made important contributions with 16 points each, including four 3-pointers each.

Antetokounmpo made a double-double of 27 points and 13 rebounds but it wasn’t enough to prevent his team’s defeat, which snapped their two-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, the Bucks (50-17) continue leading the Eastern Conference with the league’s best record.

Point guard Eric Bledsoe was the second highest scorer for the Bucks with 21 points while Brook Lopez put up a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds.

The Spurs, who are placed seventh in the Western Conference, have now defeated the top three teams of the Eastern Conference at AT&T Center, the Philadelphia 76ers in December and the Toronto Raptors in January.
