Barcelona Trains Ahead of Copa del Rey Clash with Levante

BARCELONA – FC Barcelona’s squad attended a training session on Tuesday, two days ahead of the second leg of its Copa del Rey round-of-16 matchup against Levante.

Coach Ernesto Valverde chose Barca B’s defenders Juan Miranda, Juan Brandariz, Moussa Wague, Guillem Jaime and forward Rafael Mujica to train alongside the available players from the first team.

The Catalan club is set to return to training Wednesday, after which Valverde will hold a press conference to reveal the starting lineup for Thursday’s Levante game.

Barcelona lost 2-1 to Levante in the first leg at Levante’s home stadium Ciutat de Valencia on Jan. 10 and needs a victory to advance to the quarterfinals of the Copa del Rey.
