SEVILLE, Spain – Sevilla and Spain winger Manuel Agudo Duran, best known as Nolito, will be sidelined for three months due to a broken shin bone, his club said on Saturday.
Nolito sustained the injury during the team’s training session held at Bilbao earlier in the day, as Sevilla prepared for its La Liga away clash against Athletic on Sunday.
“We are sad to confirm that Nolito has suffered a serious injury in his fibula and will be out of action for the next 3 months,” Sevilla’s statement read.
“In a fortuitous accident while training on Saturday at Lezama training ground, Nolito suffered a fracture of fibula that will require surgery that will sideline him for approximately three months,” the club said.
The 32-year-old Nolito joined Sevilla in July 2017 on a transfer from England’s Manchester City.
