Juventus Routs Bologna 3-0, Hellas Verona Adds to Milanís Woes

BOLOGNA, Italy Ė Juventus routed Bologna 3-0 on Sunday, while Hellas Verona prevailed over Milan by the same score in Serie A action.

With the win, Juventus jumped into second place in the Serie A standings, taking advantage of Internazionaleís first league defeat, a loss to Udinese on Saturday.

Miralem Pjanic put Juventus on the scoreboard in the 27th minute on a free kick, 11 minutes before setting up a goal for Mario Mandzukic, who doubled the score.

Former Paris Saint Germain player Blaise Matuidi secured Juveís win, scoring the third goal in the 65th minute with a left-foot shot.

After the win, Juventus jumped into second place with 41 points, just one point behind leader Napoli.

Hellas Verona, meanwhile, added to Milanís woes, handing them their seventh league defeat in 17 matches.

Antonio Caracciolo scored for Hellas Verona in the 24th minute, while Moise Kean added the second goal in the 55th minute.

Daniel Bessa scored Hellas Veronaís third goal, securing his teamís third league win of the season.

Milan holds 7th place, with 24 points, while Hellas Verona is in 18th place, with 13 points.

In other Serie A action on Sunday, Crotone defeated ChievoVerona 1-0, Sassuolo beat Sampdoria 1-0 and Fiorentina played to a 0-0 draw with Genoa.
