ROME Ė A late goal by Italia forward Eder Citadin Martins brought Inter Milan to a 1-1 draw against visiting Torino on Sunday in the 12th round of Serie A.
Iago Falque gave Torino the lead in the 60th minute, scoring his fifth goal of the season.
With 11 minutes to go, Eder drew level for Inter, but the team squandered its chance to top the Serie A table temporarily.
Inter missed its best opportunity to seal the win with two minutes before time, when Matias Vecino of Uruguay fired into the bar.
Interís goalkeeper Samir Handanovic and his equivalent for Torino, Salvatore Sirigu, stole the limelight in the first half with two great saves, one apiece.
The gameís tempo became faster in the second half. Falque broke the deadlock after dribbling past defender Joao Miranda of Brazil, firing a shot that got past Handanovic.
Seeking the equalizer, the home team turned up the heat as coach Luciano Spalletti put in Eder.
It took Eder just 10 minutes to find the back of the net. Vecino blasted a shot into the bar with two minutes to go.
With the draw, Inter holds second place with 30 points, pending Juventusís game against Benevento, while Torino is in the 7th spot temporarily with 17 points.
