LONDON – Crystal Palace dismissed Dutch coach Frank de Boer after just 77 days in charge of the Premier League side, the club announced on Monday.
Under the management of the former Barcelona player, Crystal Palace lost all four league games this season and had yet to score, something that has never happened since the Premier League’s creation in 1992.
“We would like to thank Frank for his dedication and hard work during his time at the Club,” the club said in a statement.
De Boer’s Palace managed to win just one game against second-tier Ipswich Town in League Cup.
Palace is currently languishing in 19th place.
“A new manager will be appointed in due course and we wish Frank the very best of luck for the future,” the statement added.
De Boer arrived at the club this summer, replacing former coach Sam Allardyce, after another brief spell at Serie A club Inter Milan.
