LONDON – Arsenal defeated Bournemouth 3-0 on Saturday in fourth-week Premier League action at Emirates Stadium thanks to Danny Welbeck’s brace.
Thanks largely to Welbeck, Arsenal bounced back from a 4-0 shellacking at the hands of Liverpool in its previous league match.
Welbeck opened the scoring for Arsenal just six minutes into the match, while Alexandre Lacazette notched the second goal 21 minutes later.
Welbeck struck again in the 50th minute to put the icing on the home victory.
With the win, Arsenal provisionally is ninth in the Premier League table with six points, while Bournemouth is in 19th place with zero after suffering four straight defeats to start the season.
