SACRAMENTO, California – Buddy Hield scored 18 points to lead a list of seven Sacramento players who scored in double digits as the Kings defeated the Detroit Pistons 112-102 on Thursday night.
Willie Cauley-Stein had a double-double of 14 points and 14 rebounds, while Harry Giles also put up 14 points, as the Kings started fast to enjoy a 17 point lead at half time.
Iman Shumpert (13 points), De’Aaron Fox (12), Yogi Ferrell (11) and Marvin Bagley (10) rounded out the leading scorers for the Kings, who improved their record to 21-21.
Detroit was led by Stanley Johnson’s 16 points, with Bruce Brown Jr. and Reggie Bullock adding 15 points each.
Andre Drummond put up a double-double of 12 points and 11 rebounds as the Pistons (17-23) were unable to recover from their poor first half showing.
